Alcoholics Anonymous
Alcoholics Anonymous Meetings will now be held at FPC on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Fridays making 6 total available meeting times in the Franklin area.

Habitat For Humanity
Franklin Presbyterian Church is actively involved with Habitat for Humanity which provides decent housing for families in need.  Habitat is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry. Habitat For Humanity project

Volunteers have built seventeen Habitat homes in the Franklin-Simpson community.

Good Samaritan
FPC supports Good Samaritan, Inc. a community-wide ministry which assists people in transit, or in crisis,  with food, shelter, or whatever other emergency needs they may have.

Mustard Seed
The Mustard Seed ministry of Franklin Presbyterian Church partners with families and individuals in need to offer them a “hand up” rather than a “hand-out”.Summer Feeding Program

Summer Feeding Program
Volunteers for the Summer Feeding Program distribute mid-day lunches to children in low income neighborhoods during the months that school is not in session.

The Annual Bean Soup Luncheon has been a church/community tradition for over 50 years.  All proceeds raised from the event go to local missions. Thank you to all in the community for supporting our annual Bean Soup lunch 2010!  With your healthy appetites and donations to the cause, we raised over $1,300.00 for local mission work!

Slidell Mission Trip
Years after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita hit the Gulf Coast there is still a lot of unmet need. 260 families are still living in FEMA trailers in Louisiana and Mississippi. In response, FPC went on a mission trip to Slidell, Louisiana to assist with home repairs in the region partnering with Presbyterian Community Outreach of Slidell (PCO):We are an organization based out of Slidell, LA currently working to rebuild the New Orleans area. We accept and house volunteer groups free of charge to do home repair and other types of assistance to low income families and elderly persons in the Slidell area hit by storms.”

The Fall Yard Sale raises funds for mission work beyond the community.  In the past trips have been made to eastern Kentucky, the storm-ravaged Gulf Coast, South America and Mexico, with an emphasis on building, re-building and water purification projects.

Literacy
FPC has a long-standing relationship with adult literacy in Simpson County and to the Goodnight Library. Ella Hoy Goodnight, who left the money to build the public library, was the first woman elected elder of FPC. Several members and friends of FPC volunteer as tutors, serve as staff, and serve on the Board of Directors of the Simpson County Literacy Center, including Pastor Katie.
