What to expect when visiting

"We love Him because He first loved us." (1 John 4:9-10)

Do I have to be a member to participate or a Presbyterian to join?
All persons are welcome to participate in the life and worship of this church. Most of our current membership came from other denominational backgrounds. So in a sense we might say that most of our members were not “born Presbyterians” but “chose Presbyterianism”.   We would encourage seekers to visit, to get involved through volunteer service and learning opportunities before making a membership commitment.

For ways to become involved beyond Sunday morning worship, check out Ways To Serve.

Do I have to be a member to take Communion?
No.  Presbyterian’s acknowledge that the communion table and elements belong to God, not to the church.  When we take communion, as we do on the first Sunday of each month, we are united with the church in every place, join with all the faithful in offering thanksgiving to the triune God, renew the vows taken at baptism and commit ourselves afresh to love and serve God, one another and our neighbors in the world.

What about my kids (or grandkids)?
Communion for children is at the discretion of the parent or acting parent.  Children are an integral part of our church.  We offer a nursery for chidren under age 5 during the Worship hour, and “Children’s Church” for the older kids, and of course, parents who wish their children to experience the worship hour in the sanctuary are welcome to keep their children with them.  If children become restless or tired, they can be taken to the
nursery, and will receive loving care from our nursery team.
