A Healthy And Growing Christian Faith Community

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”  (Matthew, 22:37)

Welcome to the Franklin Presbyterian Church website.  Whether you are a visitor to Franklin or are seeking a church home in the community, we invite you to join us for a traditional worship experience in our historic baptismsanctuary, to be inspired by beautiful music, and to hear the Word proclaimed.

Franklin Presbyterian Church is a community of Christian faith sharing God’s love for all people through worship, education, fellowship and service to others.

William Everett Halcomb (left), son of Sam and Stephanie Halcomb, was baptized at FPC on August 22, 2010 during morning worship.  God is good!

Renovation News!

The renovation of our sanctuary space is complete!  We hope you'll stop in soon to take a look.  We had a laying on of hands service during morning worship on August 15th, 2010 to ask God's continued blessing in this sacred space.

Sunday Night Live

Book study of Life Abundant: Rethinking Theology and Economy for a Planet in Peril by Sally McFague

Two sessions: Life AbundantAugust 29 and September 12

This series will look at one theologian’s take on care-for-the-earth theology and its implications for economics in the US and world.  McFague writes about ecological theology from a middle-class North American context.  You do not have to agree with McFague’s assertions to attend, debate, discuss, and learn from one another!  Whatever your stance on care-for-the-earth theology, there is more for each of us to discover together as we learn what it means to be the church in relation to all of God’s creation.  This book will serve as a spring board for discussion, covering topics such as:

Thinking theologically; Ecological theology; The contemporary economic model and worldview; God and the world; Christ and salvation.

If you are interested in this series, please purchase the book on your own and bring it with you to sessions.  It is available for purchase on Amazon and used copies begin at eight dollars or so.  If you would like to attend but purchasing the book on your own does not fit into your budget, just let Pastor Katie know and she will secure a copy for you to borrow..

Our Vision

“Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew,  22:39)

Franklin Presbyterian Church strives to be a vibrant community of brothers and sisters in Christ who are bound together by their core values and their love and support for one another. A high proportion of the congregation regularly participates in worship services, Sunday School and other programs that foster spiritual growth and Christian values.  The music ministry is a source of inspiration for both the church and the local community.  We are respected within the local region and the wider PC-USA community for innovative service programs that nurture people in need by partnering with other service-oriented groups.  Our core values, sense of community, programs and hospitality attract and retain membership.
